SpaceQuest
Explore. Design. Launch.
Inspire young minds to journey through the stars, build rockets, and decode the science of space.
What Is SpaceQuest?
SpaceQuest is STEMlens Network’s immersive space science program that turns curiosity into real-world skills. From building rockets to simulating planetary missions, students engage in hands-on learning that connects astronomy, rocketry, robotics, and satellite tech to global challenges.
In 2024, STEMlens Network co-hosted the Global Space Education Summit – Kenya Edition in partnership with Ignited Thinkers, Columbia Global Centers, LeoSky, the Kenya Space Agency, and the University of Nairobi.
The event brought together students, educators, and international space leaders to explore how Africa can shape the future of space exploration. It inspired hundreds of young innovators to dream big, collaborate globally, and design sustainable solutions for our planet and beyond.
Perfect for learners ages 8–18+ looking to explore space innovation and careers.

Africa in Orbit
Through SpaceQuest, students connect with real space agencies, innovators, and educators across the continent and beyond.
We collaborate with leading space organizations, universities, and global innovation partners to open pathways for learners to engage in cross-continental missions, mentorship, and research opportunities.
These collaborations ensure that African students not only study space science, they actively contribute to it.
Girls in SpaceQuest
Inspiring girls to lead the future of space innovation through mentorship, female-led teams, and monthly Stellar She spotlights.
African Skies Initiative
Celebrating Africa’s growing contribution to the global space ecosystem through projects like Taifa-1 satellite missions, regional observatories, and space innovation hubs led by universities and youth networks.
Pitch & Protect Module (Integrated Benefit)
Every student in this program also completes the STEMlens Pitch & Protect Module, where they:
• Learn to present complex space concepts and projects clearly for showcases, competitions, and global events.
• Build confidence in public speaking and storytelling to inspire diverse audiences.
• Gain Intellectual Property (IP) awareness for rover designs, space mission concepts, and data-driven projects.
This ensures SpaceQuest students can confidently share and protect their work, preparing them for recognition, funding, and career pathways in space innovation.
