The International Robot Olympiad (IRO)
The 26th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) is an exciting global robotics competition that gathers young innovators from around the world. This year’s event will take place at BEXCO, Busan, South Korea, from January 16 to 21, 2025, under the theme: Future Marine City Busan: Industry, Tourism, Culture.
Participants will engage in various robotics challenges, collaborate with international teams, and gain exposure to cutting-edge robotics technology. Teachers, coaches, and companions are also welcome to observe and learn from this inspiring experience.

Age Categories
Participants are grouped into the following categories:
- Junior L: Ages 7–9
- Junior H: Ages 10–12
- Senior L: Ages 13–15
- Senior H: Ages 16–18
Competition Categories
Participants can compete solo or in teams. Here are the available categories:
Solo Games
(Participants may join more than one game per day, provided there is no schedule conflict.)
- Tag Out (Wheeled Robot) — Junior Only
- Smart Farmer (Humanoid)
- Robot Athletics (Wheeled Robot)
Team Games
(Teams consist of 1–3 members, with each participant joining one team game per day.)
- Physical Computing

What’s Included
Your registration fee covers:
- Competition Registration: Certificates and IRO badges
- Accommodation: 6 days/5 nights (January 16–21, 2025)
- Meals: Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) from January 16 (dinner) to January 21 (breakfast)
- Uniforms: Official IRO participant uniforms
- Transportation:
- Airport pick-up and drop-off (daytime arrivals/departures)
- Daily shuttle between the hotel and venue
- Preparatory Courses: Pre-event courses to familiarize participants with the competition rules and format
- Mock Games: Practice sessions before the official games
Itinerary
- January 16: Arrival at Busan Airport (Gimhae International Airport), shuttle pick-up, and hotel check-in
- January 17–20: Daily games and challenges at BEXCO, Busan (shuttle service provided)
- January 21: Morning awards and closing ceremonies, followed by shuttle back to the hotel
