In January 2024, members of the STEMlens Network had the exciting opportunity to participate in the 25th International Robotics Olympiad (IRO) in Athens, Greece. This prestigious event, known as the oldest international robotics competition, has been held annually since 1999, attracting over 1,000 participants from 38 countries.
The IRO aims to promote scientific thinking and develop the talents of students interested in robotics. Our members competed alongside top young minds from around the world, showcasing their skills and creativity in various robotics challenges. The event also fostered a sense of community and collaboration, allowing participants to build friendly social relationships and develop their personalities.
Throughout the competition, our team engaged in hands-on activities and innovative problem-solving, contributing to their growth in scientific literacy and robotics expertise. The experience also provided them with valuable insights into the latest advancements in robotics technology.
Participation in the IRO was more than just a competition; it was an opportunity for our members to connect with a global network of peers and experts, enhancing their knowledge and inspiring their future endeavors in the field of robotics.
