On February 3, 2024, schools from across Kenya gathered for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) tournament, showcasing their creativity and STEM skills. The competition included project presentations, robotics, and games, pushing students to their creative limits.
The FLL MASTERPIECE℠ season inspired teams to innovate in creating and communicating art globally, showcasing their STEM skills and imagination.
The FLL has multiple categories beyond robotics, encouraging a holistic approach to learning. Judges praised the talent and innovation displayed by the students, emphasizing the potential for these young minds to elevate Kenya’s STEM education to international standards.
The Stemtrix founder and competition director expressed satisfaction with the event’s quality. She highlighted the benefits of participating in such competitions and urged local schools to integrate robotics into their curriculum.
The winning Kenyan team will travel to Australia for the open championships before heading to Texas for the world tournament.
