UPCOMING EVENTS
The FIRST Global Challenge 2024 is a premier international robotics event uniting students from over 190 countries in Athens, Greece. This year’s theme, "Feeding the Future," focuses on creating sustainable food systems. With a mission to make STEM as exciting as sports, FIRST Global inspires youth to tackle global challenges through technology.
Team Kenya will represent the nation in this global competition, showcasing innovation and collaboration in solving critical issues.
The mEducation Alliance's 14th Annual Symposium, "STEMtastic Adventures!" will bring together global leaders, educators, and innovators to explore cutting-edge STEM education. Attendees from over 100 organizations will engage in networking, knowledge exchange, and showcasing innovative STEM solutions.Key highlights include dynamic presentations on STEM literacy, coding and robotics showcases, and hands-on STEM games. Exclusive sessions at the World Bank will offer in-depth discussions on STEM education challenges and opportunities.
The Global Robotics Competition 2024, organized by Data Science and Technology Corporation and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, brings together innovators in Robotics and Space Science. This inaugural event features exciting robot games, space science challenges, STEM workshops, and networking opportunities for participants of all ages. Competitors will showcase their skills in various robotics and space-related categories, pushing the boundaries of technology and inspiring future engineers and scientists.

SDG 1: No Poverty
As STEMlens Network, we actively involve students, youth, professionals, and STEM/STEAM enthusiasts in practical ways, such as educational outreach, skill development, entrepreneurship, research, advocacy, and community projects. Through these initiatives, we're effectively tackling poverty, reducing income inequality, and fostering economic growth, all in alignment with the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG 1).
SDG 2: Zero Hunger
STEMlens Network's commitment to SDG 2 is underscored by our support for projects and programs in STEM that contribute to eliminating hunger and promoting sustainable farming practices within our communities. Through these endeavors, we are dedicated to addressing food security, sustainable agriculture, and ensuring access to nutritious food, all in alignment with the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2).
SDG 4: Quality Education
In line with SDG 4, STEMlens Network improves education quality by hosting STEM/STEAM competitions, promoting competitiveness, and advocating for STEM/STEAM education through outreach and awareness campaigns. We also facilitate global student exchanges, offer mentorship programs, and showcase role models to ensure equal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities, aligning with the goals of SDG 4.
SDG 5: Gender Equality
STEMlens Network champions Gender Equality by running STEM/STEAM outreach programs, providing mentorship from seasoned professionals to marginalized students, and collaborating with local organizations to boost accessibility. We prioritize inclusivity for individuals with disabilities in STEM/STEAM, highlight successful women as role models, and extend our global initiatives to advance gender equality in STEM/STEAM and beyond.
SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitization
As STEMlens Network, we are actively working towards SDG 6 by engaging students, youth, professionals, and STEM enthusiasts in practical initiatives that include water-related educational programs, capacity building, innovation, advocacy, and community projects. These actions make a significant contribution to ensuring clean water access, improved sanitation, and sustainable water management in line with the objectives of SDG 6.
SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
STEMlens promotes collaborative STEM projects, including sustainable energy initiatives involving students, youth, and professionals, fostering teamwork and real-world problem-solving. We organize innovation challenges in clean energy, provide mentorship and resources for innovation, and recognize outstanding contributions to SDG 7 through awards and honors in our network, inspiring a commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, & Infrastructure
At STEMlens Network, we champion SDG 9 by promoting sustainable STEM/STEAM projects. Our focus is on using technology and innovation to address global challenges like climate change, resource scarcity, and healthcare access. We accomplish this by providing workshops and webinars, empowering STEM/STEAM enthusiasts with essential innovation skills to actively contribute to finding solutions.
